Check out our video series on our Muay Thai Timing Drills with Professor Jeff Patterson and Khun Kru Daniel Tran!
Timing is one of the most important factors in a Muay Thai practitioner's game. It gives them the ability to see an opening, and take it as a chance to engage on their opponent. Once form and technique have been taught, these drills are showed and are practiced by students consistently throughout their training.
Each drill starts out the same with a Right Kick and then to a Fake. The opponent blocks the first Kick, and then is fooled by the Fake to help simulate the feel of how to time each technique.
In this video, the Fake is followed up with a Foot Jab. The Foot Jab is delivered in a flashy way, but is very effective in building up momentum with the hip, and can easily be mistaken for an actual Right Kick because the leg is lifted far above the ground.
Enjoy the video and be sure to check out our other videos in this series and our other series as well!
