Twister from Mounted Half Guard

6

One of the trickiest things about the twister setups is that you have to lock up one leg and end up all the way on the other side of the guy to make it work. Like my Twister from Escape from Kesa Gatame, sometimes you end up there in a strange way, but the results are just as twistalicious! In this one, you have the mount position, but get popped into a slight half guard, what I call the mounted half guard (and others call the quarter guard). Try it out and comment!See details of Twister from Mounted Half Guard at http://bjjtech.com/tech/tech-detail.a…See http://bjjtech.com for the full Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling Technique Catalog.© 2010David ThomasAustin Jiu-Jitsuhttp://austinjiujitsu.com

True. Since I uploaded this video, I’ve started calling it that also.
Coincidentally, I was just teaching escapes from the quarter guard last
night. Thanks for your post!
