There’s another option from that point on when you’ve just captured the
opponent’s foot. From there you can easily hook the leg entirely and roll
down and right underneath him, rolling him over yourself off to the other
side – and you’ll end up in a sidemount position as well. That’s a
variation I show my in my Judo lessons a lot and it also works very well
indeed. Maybe you can try out and tell me whether it works for you, too.
