the way demonstrated in this video is the “easier” way to kick in my
opinion. Both works good but i think cock and release method takes less
energy but is harder to learn for beginners…

I would never kick downwards. Â If aiming for a leg kick you should bend your lead leg at the knee in order to hit the correct part of the leg. Â Coming downwards is really stupid and makes the kick easier to be caught.
