"Shoulder Walk" Side Control Escape with James Foster

33

Here Coach Foster shows a variation of the traditional side control escape when your partner or opponent has full control of your head. In this variation the shoulder walk is implemented to help achieve the proper angle to free your hips so you can recover guard. The important concepts of the shoulder walk and framing are covered in detail.

I tried this as well as I partner and it seemed easy for the person in top
control to clamp down really hard and follow the shoulder walk. More
framing in the neck to make it uncomfortable needed?
