hello. thanks for all of your instructionals. i have a question about your
left hand grip. in a lot of cross collar chokes you feed this hand in and
grip inside the lapel similar to your first grip. is there a disadvantage
to doing this in the half guard, or is the outside materiel grip just your
personal preference?

gripping inside with the 2nd grip is stronger…. but sometimes its hard to
get.
