Gripping the ankle with inner rotation, eventually holding the ankle with
the palm outside, the elbow pointing inside (like this video), should not
be illegal. It is now illegal to do the same with outer rotation, the elbow
pointing outside which very much squeezes the oponent’s knee in the end,
unlike this video. It is the question of which way you grab the opponent’s
ankle, not whether you simply grab it or not.
