Judo for MMA (http://judo4mma.com) – How to do Sukui Nage – Scooping Throw. This version of Sukui Nage is great for MMA / No-Gi fighting as it does not require any gripping whatsoever. It provides a fast takedown and defense from a strike, followed by top position on the ground, and Full Mount.

You told him to punch and he throws a straight and steps with the same leg smh…. theres not a stand up fighter on the planet that punches with a straight and then does that so his leg position would be the exact opposite so this cant work in this instance. It could work off of your opponets stepping lead left hook. Agreed that was pretty dumb but the step through punch is technically the hardest punch And is a Karate thing. The only really successful fighter I know who uses it is Lyoto Machida.

uchimata or kubi nage would be good counters to this, alternetivly just
move your (in this case) right leg back as hes coming in, screwing up his
takedown and opening up a good variety for yourself
