Great tips! Thank you so much!
Any suggestions as to what to do if your partner does get position @1:44
(partner on top clears lockdown) and isolates your left arm for kimura?
Best lockdown tip I ever got was to stop playing the lockdown. It’s really
an undesireable half-guard in terms of mobility, and you’re dealing with
the majority of your opponent’s weight on top of you. Once they start to
pass like you showed, it is very hard to recover. When I opened up my half
guard game to the deep half variations, z-guard (knee shield), inverted
half guard (tornado guard), reverse DLR hook, I found many more efficient
sweeps, transitions, and guard recovery openings.
